The team was not doing well at that time, so in order to support them morally, she announced to pose nude for them. But, later she refused to do that. But, I think, that was enough to give her lots of publicity. Not only that, she also announced to start acting in some Hollywood movies to try her luck, as she was not getting any major success in Bollywood.

Similarly, there are other well known celebrities in the industry who are ready to do anything for the sake of money. I think, that's not unusual, I mean that it is now happening everywhere and at any industry.
