How to Connect an Airport Wireless Printer to an iBook
- 1). Open the program you want to use with the wireless printer. Load the document into the printer and wait for the software to display the selected document.
- 2). Click "File," "Print," then click the printer pull-down selection. In the selection, the wireless printer should be listed. If it is, select the printer, click "OK" and the document prints. If it isn't, you need to download the driver for the selected printer before proceeding.
- 3). Check the make and model of the printer you are attempting to use (it is typically printed on the front of the printer).
- 4). Open the Internet browser and navigate to the printer manufacturer's website. Choose "Support," then select the printer model you are using. Select "Mac OS" as the operating system, then click the provided driver download link.
- 5). Double-click the downloaded file to load the installation wizard. Follow the on screen prompts to install the driver. Restart the iBook and attempt to print the document again. The wireless printer should receive the print request and print the document.
