Gossip Girl Episode 5 - Rufus Getting Married

103 4
Gossip Girl fans, I'm sure many of you had the same question that I did going into this season 3 Episode 5: Why is this episode called "Rufus Getting Married"? You cannot watch GG without knowing that Rufus and Lily are destined to get married, so what's the deal? The primary Gossip Girl music I need to hear in this episode is "The Wedding March".
If you didn't get to watch Gossip Girl last week, Lily and Rufus are still on thin ice because of Serena's refusal to attend Brown.
After several failed attempts to patch things up, Rufus suggests to Lily that they have the wedding A.
S.
A.
P.
It's too bad that Lily is struggling to write vows that don't sound like a carbon copy from a previous marriage.
Can these two pull off wedding bliss? Georgina's back from Boston, so maybe not.
This girl should have her own GG music soundtrack with the overall theme of evil.
Devastated to learn that Dan has moved on, Georgina blackmails Vanessa with the Scott secret if she doesn't break up Dan and Olivia.
Evil is relentless, and Georgina does nothing short of inviting Scott to the wedding unannounced.
As for the Bree and Carter mystery, guess who gets in the middle of it? Chuck! He doesn't buy Bree's excuse that she and Carter used to vacation together.
Bree dishes to Chuck, and Chuck gives Carter an ultimatum: fess up or leave.
It looks like Serena isn't the only woman that thought she and Carter might've had a future together.
Great Gossip Girl songs from this episode includes: Matt and Kim's "Lessons Learned", Sonic Youth's "Antenna" and "Starpower", Phoenix's "Lisztomania", and The New Cities' "Lost in City Lights".
Sonic Youth and Phoenix are awesome regulars for music from Gossip Girl.
