My HP D5800 Won't Boot From a Ghost Boot Disk

    • 1). Reboot the computer and press the F1 or F2 key to enter the BIOS menu when prompted. Depending on your D5800's BIOS setup, the key to enter your BIOS could be different, however, watching the computer screen will tell you what key to hit.

    • 2). Use the arrow keys on your D5800's keyboard to scroll over to the "Boot Menu" in the BIOS setup page.

    • 3). Scroll down to the "Primary Boot Device" and change it from your hard drive to your computer disc or digital video disc drive depending on what is installed on the D5800.

    • 4). Scroll over to the "Save and Exit" tab and press the keyboard's "Enter" key.

    • 5). Wait for the computer to restart and then boot from from either the computer or digital video disc drive.
