Bandit Signs are the bread and butter of any successful real estate investors marketing campaign. To give you the quick definition, therere those signs you see attached to wood and sometimes metal poles. They typically have a real simple U.S.P. (Unique Selling Proposition) followed up with a phone number. Theyre rectangular in shape and measure 6 x 8 inches up to 24 x 36 inches. They are a form of guerilla marketing. Guerilla marketing is as an unconventional, yet highly effective form of marketing that focuses on results. It allows the little guy to enter the market fast and gets results even quicker than the big boys.
Most real estate investors use bandit signs one of two different ways. They either place them in the ground or on a pole and dont worry about code compliance or they pay for a permit which essentially is a sticker affixed to the signs. You can go both ways depending on your budget and how much hassle you want to deal with.
If bandit signs are placed on private property you dont need a permit to place them, just the property owners permission. If the signs are on public property then you need permits for your signs.
