Green World; Eco Friendly Kids
Have you ever seen pictures of Earth from outer space? Well, it's one of the most wonderful things you could ever lay your eyes upon. Imagine, of all the planets in our solar system our Earth, our home is the only one that really shines with color; from blue to white and from brown to green. It's amazing and a blessing that we humans are the ones who live here. The children of this beautiful planet even know that, as they go to school and learn about the world in their science classes.
How do you raise eco friendly kids? It's actually quite simple, become an eco friendly person. Children imitate adults, especially those who are close to them, like their parents. For a child to understand and care for nature they have to see adults doing it themselves. They need to know how important nature is, from the simple soil they stand upon and the water they drink, as well as the trees that give them shade.
For some children, who were born to love the things around them, there is no need to learn. It is just innate. Young girls would tend flowers, care for their gardens. Young boys climb on trees and protect it; they won't throw trash small or big in rivers or lakes. It would be awesome if all kids were eco friendly kids.
For kids who still need help to realize the beauty of Mother Nature, adults can plan games or send the kids to a program where they will learn more about the importance of the environment. There are a lot of different types of activities to aid the children's quest of bonding with a green life.
It can be an outdoor activity, such as camping with the whole family. This is a wonderful way for the family to bond closer as well as give the aspiring eco friendly kid a chance to experience nature from the point of view of actually living in it. Another way is planting a garden in your yard. Let kids help raise the fruits, vegetables, and/or flowers. This will give them an appreciation for how things need to be cared for to grow and they will definitely be happy to eat the food they have grown themselves.
There are also indoor activities that can be learned by the kids every day, like recycling. Let them separate their own trash, from biodegradable to non-biodegradable.
After a day of green living with the kids, parents can tell bedtime stories at night. Such as the "The Little Green Book Series" by Kimberly Ainsworth or The Green Start books by Ikids. Having eco friendly kids is important in our generation today. Since the children are the future, it would be best if they worked and learned how to build a healthy.
To have a green world, we must have eco friendly kids, who are stewards, and shepherds to the earth that we live on. Through small green steps and green ways, everyone can do their part to ensure that we all will have a world whose kids will live happy and healthy lives in Mother Nature.
