It is undeniable that your computers registry is volatile and sensitive, but when you want to fix a slow running computer you will find the majority of professional cleaners have been greatly improved and simplified, there is almost no chance of messing up the operation, even if you are a complete novice in their use.
For the designers and vendors of these products to be avoiding hundreds of lawsuits, to be able to keep trading on a daily basis and to be actually growing massive companies like they are, they have to do everything they can to make certain that their software does not cause damage to anyones computer, including yours.
To be honest, with design and technology the way it is today, even if you tried to cause damage with a professional registry cleaner I personally do not think you could achieve it.
You simply scan, choose which errors to correct and the registry cleaner does everything for you.
Nothing could be simpler; it is how to fix a slow running computer.
This said, I could only apply the above paragraph to a properly supported up to date professional cleaner.
If you just grab the first freeware cleaner you come to and you do no research on it, you might be taking a very big risk.
Here are a number of reasons why I say this;
  1. Out of date.
  2. Incompatible.
  3. Full of spyware.
  4. Malware.
  5. Virus.
  6. Trojans
  7. And other bugs.
  8. Unsupported.
The large majority of professional cleaning utilities are ultra safe.
The professional venders will bend over backwards to ensure that you do not encounter any problems and that things are explained as simply as possible in lay-man terms.
Everything has been tested, tested and then tested again.
They want you to be happy with their product.
They need to protect your equipment, this way they can be sure that you will recommend it to other people including friends and family, and then the bottom line is "they make more money".
