My husband and I have been on nine cruises, so we knew what was standard procedure, and what to generally expect on our cruise. The food on the buffet was a shock. Virtually without taste, not visually appealing, and was of poor quality.

The food in the dining room in the mornings took over an hour to receive and was consistently cold when we got it.

We have not ever been told on any of our other cruises that they are out of something, but it seemed at every meal they are out of something. For example, out of vanilla ice cream for dessert. No lettuce, pickle, or tomato for our hamburger. No Canadian bacon or parmesean cheese for our pizza. Ran out of brewed coffee during breakfast.

The only restaurant that was the caliber we were used to and that had good food and service was the Italian restaurant where you paid an additional $10.00 per person. In reviewing George's comments from 2004 it is very sad that they are still having the same problems now that he wrote about in 2004.

This was our first cruise on NCL and we will never cruise this line again. We were with a group of 30 people and everyone was extremely unhappy with the ship and the services offered. The highlight of the trip was the excellent service and personality of the young gentleman in the pro shop who scheduled our golf outings.

He was excellent. We feel we are owed some type of refund as this cruise was substandard.
