      Sailing in May, July and August, cruises out of the port of New York City travel to destinations in England's Southampton, Dover and Falmouth. Cruises depart in one-way and round-trip, 17-, 18- and 24-day journeys, with additional port stops in Florida, Canada, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the British Isles. Whether sailing from New York to England for the cruise experience or the on-board amenities, three- and four-out-of-five star cruises offer plenty of options both at sea and in port.

    "Queen Mary 2"

    • Sailing out of New York City in round-trip, 17-day journeys, Cunard Cruise Lines' ship, the "Queen Mary 2," sails to destinations in England's port of Southampton, as well as Zeebruge in Belgium, Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Cherbourg, France. Cruisers spend five days in port, 11 days at sea, and one day traveling before the ship returns to New York City.

      The "Queen Mary 2," which scored four-out-of-five stars in overall consumer satisfaction on the website Cruise Reviews Online, is an extra-large cruise ship with a passenger capacity of 2,620 guests. Launched in 2003 an the second oldest of three Cunard ships, the 13-deck "Queen Mary 2" features balconies in 75 percent of the staterooms, interactive televisions that allow passengers to send emails, 10 dining venues and the world's first on board planetarium. The "Queen Mary 2" sails from New York to England yearly in May.

    "ms Prinsendam"

    • Sailing to England in 24-day, one-way cruises that depart from New York City to a final destination of Amsterdam, Holland America Cruise Lines ship, the "ms Prinsendam," is a small ship with an on board passenger capacity of 794 guests. The nine-deck "ms Prinsendam" is the inaugural ship of Holland America Cruise Lines and was launched in 1988 and refurbished a few years later. The "ms Prinsendam" offers teak decks, private verandas in 40 percent of her staterooms, five-star cuisine and commissioned art and antiques throughout the ship.

      While on board the "ms Prinsendam," which scored four out of five stars on the website International Cruise Center, passengers visit Fort Lauderdale, England's ports of Dover and Falmouth, Le Havre in France, Ponta Delgada, Horta and Libson in Portugal and Cadiz, La Coruna, Bilbao and Portimao in Spain. Cruisers spend 12 days st sea, 11 days in port and one day traveling. Cruises on the "ms Prinsendam" from New York City to England sail yearly in May.

    Ocean Princess

    • Departing out of New York City in journeys that sail in July and August, the "Ocean Princess" sails to final destinations in Dover, England. Cruises sail in eighteen-day, one-way itineraries with seven days at sea, 10 days in port, and one day traveling. Ports visited include Halifax in Canada's Nova Scotia, Saint Anthony in Canada's Newfoundland, as well as ports in Greenland, Iceland, Scotland and Norway.

      The latest addition to the Princess Cruise Line, the "Ocean Princess" was launched in 2009 and is the 18th ship in the fleet. A small ship, the "Ocean Princess" has a passenger capacity of 802 passengers on an 11-deck vessel. On board features include more than 200 balcony staterooms, specialty restaurants with high-end decor and the Lotus Spa.
