  Tambor is on the Bahia Bellina bay of Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula which is between the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Nicoya. Tambor offers sunny beaches, fishing, boating and calm, shallow waters for swimming. Visitors can enjoy the Curu Wildlife Reserve, a tropical eco-paradise with hundreds of species of birds and mammals such as white-fronted amazons and collard peccari.
