How to Install Two Video Cards on a M3a79-T Motherboard
- 1). Make sure your computer is turned off. Turn it on its side.
- 2). Unscrew and remove the side cover.
- 3). Plug one video card into one of the available PCIe X16 slots. Plug the other video card into the remaining PCIe X16 slot. The PCIe x16 slots are color-coded blue on the M3A79-T motherboard. Plug the video card power cables from your power supply into the power ports on the video cards.
- 4). Connect the two video cards using the CrossFireX bridge. Make sure the bridge is secure.
- 5). Plug your monitor's cable into an available matching port on the video card closest to the CPU.
- 6). Put the side cover back on the computer and screw it into place. Turn your computer upright.
- 7). Turn on your computer.
- 8). Install the latest version of ATI's "Catalyst" drivers and the accompanying program, the "Catalyst Control Center." Restart the computer if prompted to do so.
- 9). CrossFireX is normally automatically enabled. If it isn't, right-click your desktop and click "Catalyst Control Center." Go to "3D settings" and check the box labeled "Enable CrossFireX." Click "Apply."
