• 1). Go to Google Lively’s website by following the link in Resources. Click on "Download Lively." You must have Windows Vista/XP with Internet Explorer or Firefox to download Google Lively.
  
  
• 2). Click on “Save” when the download box pops up. Choose a place to save, then wait while the download completes. Click “Run” when the box shows you are ready. Hit "Run" again.
  
  
• 3). Click “Close” when the download completes. Your original page will turn into the Google Lively site.
  
  

Create a Google Account

• 1). Create a Google account, if you do not have one already. When you choose a room, a pop-up will come on your screen, asking you to do so. Enter your email address, choose a password and click "Submit." When you again click on the room you want, a pop-up will ask for your desired ID.
  
  
• 2). Choose a name to go along with your avatar, enter it into the Desired ID box and click "Next."
  
  
• 3). Change rooms by clicking on the left-hand side, which will bring up other rooms.
  
  

Pick your Avatar and Chat

• 1). Pick your Google Lively avatar by clicking on “My Avatar” in the right-hand sidebar. When you find one you want, click it and choose "Select avatar" to change yours instantly.
  
  
• 2). Click on the X after you have chosen your avatar to hide the menu.
  
  
• 3). Change the outfit on your avatar by clicking on "My Wardrobe" in the right sidebar. This will open up your wardrobe options.
  
  
• 4). Browse through the wardrobe options to find an item of clothing you want.
  
  
• 5). Double-click the item of clothing you want. If you like it, leave it on. If not, go over to your wardrobe and left-click on the item you have on, then hit "Remove item."
  
  
• 6). Choose the Google Lively room you wish to enter by clicking on its name in the Room list. Choose from the rooms that are most popular, the newest, or the ones that have the most visitors.
