The Remnant of the Election

103 5
Why was it even close? The Obama Chicago machine churned out almost one billion in campaign contributions dwarfing the McCain camp by almost double.
About 125 million people cast votes.
There was only a nine million vote difference in the popular vote which is skewed by the huge east coast and west coast pluralities voting for Obama.
Most of the nine million come from California (3 million), New York (2 million), Illinois Obama's home state (2 million and Washington, Oregon (one million).
Taking the rest of the country the results were a dead heat in the popular vote.
Now consider that we have the lowest rating for the sitting president in modern times, an even lower rating in Congress, we are fighting two wars, both of which are unpopular in many camps, and just a month prior to November 4th, the economic meltdown ratcheted up.
Add to this a charismatic African America with a vacuous campaign of hope and change and very little substance.
Let's not forget the companions of that African American.
Then there was the prohibition of using his middle name (Hussein) or playing the "race" card, though the African American and the media did a great job of that.
Don't forget the excited but uninformed youth vote who cannot answer college 101 civic questions.
The 96 % African American emotional vote that did not consistently know anything substantive about either candidate save their color.
Finally, compound on top of all this a 74 year-old senior senator with the charisma of a dull woodchuck (Thank God for Sarah Palin interjecting some excitement into the Republican ticket).
And not the least of which, add a totally biased media (now well documented).
How in the world was this election close in any respect? Why, indeed.
There still exists a remnant in America that believe in moral and ethical values along with free enterprise.
There is still a remnant that are informed and vote with intelligence, not youthful or uninformed vigor.
The remnant is not just religious people or the conservative right.
They are people who know and love America.
Those who see America for all she is, not for Hollywood's and the media's portrayal of America.
The home of the free and the brave.
The liberator of the world, not the conqueror of the world.
The America who rises above all politics or wounds and rescues those in need.
The America that still values life and the family, the building blocks of the only free country to stand longer than any other form of government.
The America founded on Biblical moral law and based on morals and ethics of eternal lasting value.
And a remnant that could see through the thin veil of hope and change that could lead to the downfall of America as they know it.
Socialism and communism has failed in every country it has been tried.
America will be in serious trouble if America leaves the past behind and ventures out on the road well-traveled.
The Bible speaks of a time when the people rejected God and the judges He appointed over them.
The people wanted to be like everyone else.
"Give us a king they," cried.
God warned them of the vagaries of a king but the people insisted.
America has now cried out, "Give us a king.
" And America has her king.
They cried out to be like everyone else, and like other countries.
Now the remnant is all that is left of what America once was.
If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.
Let the remnant now wake up and not let the king rule America to be like everyone else.
like every other country that has failed because they left their principles.
Let us hope for a change to bring back the America that freed the world and created unprecedented wealth and prosperity that is shared with the world.
Indeed, the hope of the world.
Let America not change from that.
