A DUI (Driving Under the Influence) case is probably the most common criminal charge in California and, for many, represents their first experience of being charged with a crime. In the state of California, DUI offenses are taken very seriously. A DWI or DUI arrest can bring about unwanted consequences. It's best to understand what the actual laws are and their implications. Police officers usually use field sobriety tests to prove impairment; they also use any admissions to the amount of alcohol consumed by the operator to justify their decision about impairment.
