How to Train My Cat?

103 6
Training a cat has always been an extremely difficult task.
Cats are different from dogs; this means that their mechanisms of their behavior are different.
For example if you punish your dog he understands, what he was punished for.
But if you punish your cat he will just get scared and will never realize what he was punished for.
As for me I have two cats, Dobrynia and Moorka.
I have some experience in training my cat and that is why I decided to share some ideas with you.
First thing to remember is that it is almost useless to punish your cat.
If you want to train your cat in a correct way - avoid beating your pet at all means.
However there are some things you can use to "punish" your cat.
If you do not like something you can clap your hands loudly to show your cat that you do not like what he is doing or you can spray him with water.
These things work with my cat I hope they will work with yours.
Second thing to remember is to treat your cat with love and tenderness.
Animals understand our emotions.
So speak to your cat in a lovely voice, ask him to do or not to do something.
You may not believe me but just try and you will be surprised when you see the results of your actions.
Third thing to know is that you have to keep balance between punishment methods and encouragement.
Only by keeping these two things in balance I managed to train my cat behave properly.
There are a lot of things you can train your cat to do.
You can train him to sit, stay, give you his paw; you can toilet-train your cat.
If you have an opportunity just watch what tricks can perform Kuklachev's cat.
It is just unbelievable.
Try to speak with your cat as much as possible.
If you talk with them a lot they will learn to respond to you.
Also my cats love when I hackle them along the spine.
Since your cat is a kitten try to get him familiar with your hands.
Pick him up from the floor or from the box and hold him in your hands for 5-10 minutes.
Also, do not forget that all the cats are different.
Find out the methods that work best with yours.
