Diet -- Incorporate healthier foods into the daily meal planning.
Use new to them fruits and vegetable.
Small servings to start with so you can find what is their favorites or what they will eat.
**Breakfast could be a bagel with light cream cheese and fruit spread, fruit or fruit salad, low fat milk or juice.
**Lunch could be tuna pita pockets, 8 potato chips, fruit or fruit salad and a non-carbonated beverage.

Exercise -- Sure your child has been running around school all day.

Especially in the winter when recess has to be indoors.
Come up with something fun for them to get a work out with.
Dancing about is a really great way to get your child to exercise and they do not even realize they are getting exercise.
Jump rope, Hoola Hoops and Wii Fit are also really great fun ways to get exercise.

Encouragement and kindness go a long way with your ability to help your child lose weight.
For every fat name they have been called they need 10 kind words to help erase that bad one.
Your child may seem to be taking the name calling just fine, but deep down in side it is hurting.
Soon they begin to believe they are a nobody.
If you allow them to feel like a nobody, they will be a nobody.
When you see your child make an effort tell them - Good Job- if you notice they lost a little bit of weight tell them they are -Looking Good- and mean it.
