There are also cruises specifically designed for singles, families, and childless couples. For example, while honeymooners might prefer an adults-only cruise with an enhanced romance theme, parents with children might prefer a family-friendly cruise, with activities for young children and teens, as well as adults.
  
  

What Activities Are Available Onboard?

• While ship activities vary by cruise type, typical activities include swimming, sunbathing, fine dining, dancing, casino gaming, and nightly live entertainment. Most ships also have a spa and fitness center, in addition to several lounges and even a movie theater.   Depending on where you go, you can do just about anything at a port of call. If you visit a tropical location, you can learn to snorkel, scuba dive or water ski. At historical locations, you can take guided tours of ancient ruins, visit the pyramids, explore the cobblestoned streets of Amalfi, Italy, or the white sand beaches of Santorini, Greece. Take in the local cuisine at one of the many recommended restaurants, shop for bargains at open-air markets, or take a day excursion to the Parthenon. In other words, no matter where you go, you will likely have many activities to choose from. Just remember to make it back to the ship before it sets sail.
