How to Print a Window Sticker
- 1). Turn on the computer and open up a word program.
- 2). Set the margins for the page at the minimum settings. Do this by clicking on "Format" then "Page." Find the margins tab and type in "0" in the top, bottom, right and left margins. Select "OK." A small box will appear that indicates the settings are out of print area. Select "OK."
- 3). Place the words in the desired area on the page. Insert a picture by either copying and pasting it onto the page or using the "Insert" tab. Click "Insert." Click "Picture." Locate the picture in the appropriate file. Click "OK" and the picture will be inserted into the document.
- 4). Load the clear window decals in the printer. Make sure to place the front of the sheet appropriately in the printer so the image will print onto the front of the sticker. Each printer is different, so place an "X" on the top of a sheet of copy paper and print a trial copy. If the "X" appeared on the printed side of the paper, place the clear window decals in the printer facing the same direction as your trial sheet. If the "X" appeared on the back of the sticker, turn the clear window decals over.
- 5). Click "Print. Allow the stickers to sit for two minutes before picking them up. This allows time for the ink to dry.
- 6). Remove the clear window decal from its backing and place it in the window.
