- 1). Create a seashell centerpiece. Fill wide-mouthed glass vases halfway with sand and top the sand with various seashells. Add a candle in the middle for soft lighting. Include a variety of seashells in different colors, shapes and sizes to make the centerpieces more interesting. Alternatively, place tin pails as your centerpiece instead of the glass vases, scattering tealights around the pails.
- 2). Purchase sand or ocean-colored tablecloths. Choose plates with some sort of seashell border or embossing on them, if possible. Set up wooden tables similar to those you might find on a beach if you want to skip the tablecloths altogether.
- 3). Decorate the chairs. If you are using a tablecloth, choose matching chair covers, or you can go with classic white chair covers. You can also skip the chair covers if you are using wooden, beach-style chairs. Tie a blue-green bow to the back of each chair.
- 4). Include a beach-themed wedding favor at each place setting. The favor can be as simple as seashells or sand dollars printed with the names of the couple and the date. Set the table with candle holders in the shape of a beach pail or seashells, and send your guests home with a seashell border picture frame containing an image of the couple.
