How to Weave Barbed Wire
- 1). Wrap the first roll of barbed wire on the lowest part of the fence post where the installation will take place. Staple the wire to the post with a staple gun and fencing staples. Attach the barbed wire to a wire stretcher and run it down to the next fence post.
- 2). Pull firmly so the wire is completely tight. Wrap it around the top of the fence post and staple it in place like the previous step. Move the wire from the top of the second fence post to the bottom of the third post and staple it in place.
- 3). Run the wire from the bottom of the third post to the top of the fourth and continue in the same manner to the end of the first side of fencing. Cut off the wire at the end with tin snips.
- 4). Tie a second roll of barbed wire to the top side of the first fence post and staple it in place. Run the wire to the bottom of the second fence post so it weaves through the first roll of wire and attach it to the post. Continue along the first side of the fence in the same pattern until you reach the end and cut it off with tin snips.
- 5). Install the barbed wire for the remaining sides of the fence in the same manner until all of the barbed wire is completely weaving around all sides of the fence.
