- 1). One day in the fall, put on the respirator and safety goggles.
- 2). Place the elemental sulfur in the lawn spreader.
- 3). Spread the sulfur evenly over your lawn.
- 4). Water the lawn.
- 5). Wait two weeks.
- 6). Test the pH level of the soil. Determine if the alkaline level has been neutralized enough to accommodate the plants you wish to grow.
- 7). If the soil is still too alkaline, repeat Steps 1 through 6.
