How to Epoxy a Dishwasher to Granite
- 1). Place the dishwasher where you plan to install it. Mark the location of the top brackets connected to the dishwasher on the underside of the countertop so you know where to install the piece of wood.
- 2). Measure the distance between the top of the brackets and the underside of the countertop to ensure that the wooden strip is the proper thickness. If there is no space, remove the dishwasher's bottom kick panel, which is secured using two screws, then rotate the leveling legs on the front of the dishwasher clockwise to lower it.
- 3). Remove the dishwasher.
- 4). Ensure that the surface of both the underside of the countertop and the wooden strip are clean and completely dry.
- 5). Spread a liberal amount of heavy-duty epoxy, designed for binding porous substrates, on the wooden strip, then place the strip on the underside of the countertop. Secure the strip into position using the clamps, and allow it to remain into position for the amount of time indicated on the adhesive's packaging.
- 6). Install the dishwasher, then secure it by screwing the anchor screws into the wooden block.
