Even though cavemen never ever owned books to provide them knowledge, computer and Internet access to fish some information out of the web and body-building equipments stashed inside their caves, they still managed to stay fit to run around and chase wild animals with just fruits and meat to gobble up.
How exactly did they manage to do that feat? Surely they had some tricks up their sleeves to survive that long, and evolve and maintain the human species right up to the current 21st century, right? This oddity led some nosey experts to search high and low to come up with an answer.
And find they did.
They managed to source out a new regimen that would mimic the foods our ancestors ate to stay fit and healthy and robust.
The reason for so much interest in the Cavemen and their diet is because if you just recall the history of the Paleolithic era, you'll realize that there weren't any recorded incidents to declare that they perished due to any disease.
They were able to hunt with agility, relocate from one place to another and able to withstand harsh weathers and dwell in unfriendly situations as in caves.
And since the goal of this plan is to accomplish the stunt the cavemen pulled ages ago, it is termed as the Paleolithic Diet, otherwise known as Paleo diet.
Some people eagerly accepted the idea behind the diet because apparently, it is justified not just by medical and scientific basis, but our history as well.
Others have speculated and turned skeptical because even if there are anthropological evidences, it is not enough to know for sure what the ancient people exactly ate during that period.
With regards to the food, some might not be available anymore considering how technology affected us in more ways than one.
Nowadays the food that we eat is not only genetically modified, but also is polluted with lots of harmful toxins like pesticides and herbicides.
Nevertheless, Paleo diet is still one of the many health regimens that one can try in order to lose weight and stay fit like the ancestors.
Though it can be quite restrictive because of the food selection, it's still a diet that actually encourages you to eat when you're hungry, a way of losing weight without all those complicated computations and starving yourself.
All you have to do is follow the food guide, the determination to accomplish your goal and you're good to set off.
