Ideas for Carnival Decorations
- Carnivals and carnival parties are fun and exciting for everyone who attends. If you are planning a carnival, you will want to have a brightly decorated and colorful space for your guests. Carnival decorations don't have to cost a fortune and can be set up in very little time.
- Carnival lighting is one of the most important aspects of carnival decoration. It sets the mood of the carnival and makes the guests feel as though they have entered into some place special. Strings of white or colored Christmas lights are a fun and functional way to light a carnival area. String them from building to building or tree to tree at least nine feet from the ground. You can also use colorful paper lanterns for an even more festive feel.
- Multicolored helium balloons will brighten up a carnival area, and make guests feel as though they are at a party. Tie them together in bunches of four or five and attach them to tables, chairs, or trees throughout your carnival area to create a fun party atmosphere.
- One large banner that says "Welcome" and the name of the carnival can be placed at the carnival entrance to mark the area. If you do not have the means to get a banner, you can get inexpensive colored flags, such as the kind you see at a supermarket opening, to drape across the entryway.
- Scatter confetti over tables or even on the ground to create a carnival party effect. You can even place confetti inside the helium balloons before blowing them up to create a confetti shower when they are popped. Have clowns or other carnival characters randomly throw confetti at the crowd during the carnival to delight the guests.
