How to Make Beveled Glass Boxes
- 1). Wrap copper foil around the edges of each square of beveled glass so that it wraps onto each side equally. Overlap the end about 1/4 inch.
- 2). Smooth the copper foil down firmly on the beveled glass with the burnishing tool.
- 3). Support two sides at 90-degree angles to each other with the support blocks.
- 4). Brush flux on the copper foil seam.
- 5). Melt a little solder on the end of the soldering iron and touch it lightly to the copper foil seam in a few spots to connect the pieces together.
- 6). Lay the two pieces down so the seam is horizontal. Run a bead of solder along the inside and outside of the box. Repeat steps 3 through 6 until the four sides are soldered together.
- 7). Trace the outline of the beveled glass box on the mirror. Put on safety glasses and cut the mirror with the glass cutter.
- 8). Smooth the edges with the grinder, and wrap them with copper foil, burnishing the foil firmly onto the glass as before.
- 9). Brush flux on the seams and solder the bottom to the beveled glass pieces.

Clean the beveled glass box with soap and water or glass cleaner, and use clean rags or paper towels.
