How to Sync Friends on Twitter & Facebook
- 1). Log in to your AOL, Yahoo!, Hotmail or Windows Live email account. If you don't have a free email address with one of these services, register one. These are the only four email services from which both Twitter and Facebook can currently import contacts.
- 2). Open your address book or contacts page in your email account.
- 3). Log in to your Facebook account in a separate browser tab, and click the link in the upper-left corner that says your name. This redirects you to your profile page.
- 4). Click the "Friends" tab on the left column.
- 5). Right-click each profile, and open each of your friends' profiles in a new tab. If you have many friends, you can do this for a few friends at once to save time.
- 6). Click "Info" tab on the left column of each friend's profile page.
- 7). Scroll down to the "Contact Information" section at the bottom of each profile page.
- 8). Click the browser tab that contains your email account and create a new entry for each of your Facebook friends, then add all the email addresses your friends have listed in their Facebook profiles to your contact entries. If you already have an entry for a Facebook friend, ensure that the entry contains all the email addresses she lists on her Facebook profile. Save all your changes.
- 1). Log in to your Twitter account and click the "Who to Follow" tab across the top menu.
- 2). Click the "Find Friends" tab in the "Who to Follow" section.
- 3). Click the same email service you used to sync your Facebook friends under the "More Services" section. A pop-up window appears, prompting you to allow Twitter to access your email account.
- 4). Click the "Allow" button. The pop-up window disappears, and a list of your email contacts on Twitter appears in the "Find Friends" dashboard.
- 5). Click "Follow" next to all the email contacts you wish to follow on Twitter.
