Decisions, Decisions
When it comes to the leader of the free world, I want my voice heard by the candidate and the party that I choose.
However, I realize that politically, I don't exist.
Now, I'll level with you...
as far as intrinsic party beliefs go, I am more than certain that anyone would place me into the Democratic category.
After all, I believe in tax reform in favor for the middle class, more programs - whether educational or otherwise - set up to ensure that the less fortunate can get out of their current situations and I am an avid fan of universal healthcare.
So what's the problem? Well, I am what I like to refer to as a Conservative Democrat, which consequently, doesn't seem to make much sense these days.
With all of the Blue candidates and their ultra-liberal attitudes toward civil unions and separation of Christianity from governmental decision-making, it tends to cast anyone with my Judeo-Christian values and penchant forpeople of the lower tax bracket in an anomalous light.
What's the alternative? Should I lean to the ever-increasing, yet ever-enigmatic party that refer to themselves as Independents or shall I jump the bandwagon altogether and support the GOP's privatization policies that proclaim they want what's best for us all, but lean heavily toward guaranteeing that those that have remain having? What's a guy to do? I guess I'll just have to review the issues more closely an vote for the lesser of all the evils.
Whatever the case, it won't stop me from voting and I can say with a surety that I am absolutely not sure which of these candidates (or Parties, for that matter) will sway me to cast my vote at the ballots in November.
See you at the polls!
