- 1). Press and hold the "Ctrl, " Alt" and "Delete" keys to open the Windows Task Manager.
- 2). Click on the "Processes" tab that is located on the top part of the Windows Task Manager.
- 3). Scroll through the processes running on your computer, right-click on "Backdoor.Bot" and click on "End Process."
- 4). Click on the "Start" button and click on "Run." Type in "regedit" to open the Windows Registry Editor. Click on the "+" sign next to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software" directory to display the list of software. Look for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Backdoor.Bot" and click on it to select it. Right-click and cursor down to "Delete" and click on it to delete the Backdoor.bot virus from the Windows Registry.
- 5). Click on "Start," "My Computer" and "C:/" to open the main drive directory. Look for the "%PROGRAM_FILES%" directory and double-click on it to access it. Browse through the directory to find any exe files, dll, toolbar, browser or browser plug-in Backdoor.bot viruses. Look through the different directories on your computer for any Backdoor.bot viruses and click on them to select them. Right-click and select "Delete" from the sub menu to delete any other components of the Backdoor.bot virus.
