- 1). Connect an external CD-R drive to your HP netbook, if installing Norton 360 using an installation disk. Download the Norton 360 installation file from the email you received when you purchase Norton 360 online; save the file to your desktop.
- 2). Insert the Norton 360 installation disc into your computer's optical drive, or double-click the downloaded installation file on your desktop. An installation window will appear.
- 3). Click on "Install Norton 360" from the list of options.
- 4). Enter your product key into the appropriate fields, then click the "I Agree" button to agree to the Norton 360 license agreement. You can find the product key on the email accompanying your online purchase of Norton 360, or on the inside packaging of your Norton 360 box.
- 5). Click "Next." An installation progress bar will appear. Norton 360 will then prompt you to create a Norton account, or sign into an existing Norton account, if you've created one in the past.
- 6). Enter your Norton account email address and password into the empty fields beneath the "Sign in to an Existing Norton Account" section, or enter your email address and create a password in the empty fields beneath the "Create a Norton Account" section.
- 7). Click "Next," then click "Finish" to complete the installation.
- 8). Reboot the HP Netbook to make the installation permanent.
