How to Do a Recovery on a Toshiba A45 PC
- 1). Click the "Start" button and select "All Programs" from the menu.
- 2). Select the "Accessories" folder, then "System tools" and then click "System restore."
- 3). Click the circle next to "Restore my computer to an earlier time" if it is not already selected, then click "Next" in the lower-right corner of the window.
- 4). Follow all onscreen prompts to select the restore point you want to use. If there are multiple restore points, choose the one with the most recent date before any problems with your system began to occur. If you are trying to restore your Toshiba to as close to factory defaults as possible to sell it or give it away, choose the earliest restore point.
- 5). Restart the computer when prompted to complete the recovery process.
- 1). Place your Toshiba recovery disc marked "Disk 1" into your computer's CD drive.
- 2). Restart your computer using the "Restart" command under the "Start" menu. This will be an option under the "Turn off" or "Shut down" heading.
- 3). Follow the onscreen prompts when your computer restarts. The recovery disc will launch automatically.
- 4). Replace each disc with the next in the series when prompted if you have multiple recovery discs. Do not attempt to run any other programs during the recovery.
- 5). Restart your computer when prompted and continue to follow the onscreen instructions until your system is restored to its original state. If you are offered multiple options and are not sure what to choose, select the default setting for best results.
