How To Get Back Together And Still Keep Your Friends

101 24
A breakup is never easy, and the constant thought of 'I want my ex back' going through your brain sure doesn't help. And you're worried that you're saying too much to your friends and they'll get sick of listening to you go on about your ex.

Discover how you can get back with your ex and still have friends!

One thing is for sure - it isn't good for you to keep dwelling on your ex and the breakup while being a downer for your friends at the same time. No one wants to be around someone who is sad and emotional all the time. Especially when it is possible to get help from experienced relationship experts, whether they are self taught or professionally trained with a degree behind their name.

You don't have to hire a psychiatrist (luckily) to obtain trusted advice on the subject of getting back together.

Hiring a psychiatrist or professional counselor may not be necessary, because there are some knowledgeable people who have had valuable life experience when it comes to getting your ex back and can give you insights that you wouldn't otherwise have.

Chances are, your friends are not experts in the subject of relationship rebuilding and reunification. Most of your friends have probably gone through a breakup at some time in their life, but that doesn't mean they know what's best for you and what they tell you to do for your situation could be the wrong thing.

If you try to go it alone, figuring out the next steps to take, you may end up in a fight that isn't something the two of you can bounce back from. You don't want to ruin your chances of reconciling with your ex.

It's a sad fact of life, but there are no guarantees that even the best advice from relationship experts isn't going to be enough to save your relationship. There are always impossible situations but many times, what you do immediately after a breakup can mean the difference between getting back together and going your separate ways.

You should know, through your own intuition, not to do something impulsive that could ruin your chances with your ex. You want to be careful and not make any rash decisions right now, and be especially careful about what you say and do because your ex will remember your words and actions, even after you apologize.

Why You Need To Have a Clear Mind During a Breakup

Having a clear mind and having your emotions under control is one of the most important things you can do for yourself right now. When you are in control, you aren't reacting to situations as they arise.

Being in 'reactive mode' is a dangerous place to be, because you can't predict your actions with any degree of accuracy. It goes without saying - if you just can't get a handle on your emotions...if you are in tears and aching inside because you miss your ex so much, the worst thing you can do is pursue your ex right now. You don't want to ruin your chances of making up, and you also don't want to drive your friends crazy either.

How can you know if it's too late for your relationship? Yes, it's hard to stop thinking "I want my ex back" but if you can, you'll free your mind to the point where you will be able to detect any signals that are coming from your ex.

The best advice is to avoid acting on well meaning advice from your friends. Of course your friends want what is best for you and they want to help, but keep in mind that if you act on something they tell you, it may backfire later on and you could end up blaming them or even losing them because of bad feelings.

What we've found to be true is to not lean too heavily on your friends or involve them too deeply when it comes to the mending of a relationship. They'll thank you for it later. It's not usually a good idea to follow the advice of friends. Be sure to turn to people who know the ins and outs of getting couples back together again, who have helped others in the past and whose purpose is to help people get back with an ex.
