- 1). Turn your laptop on and switch the wireless on by pressing the wireless key on your keyboard. This key is usually displayed with the word "Wi-Fi" or with the Wi-Fi symbol, which looks similar to this: (((o)))
- 2). Enable the Wi-Fi on your laptop by pressing the "Fn" key, followed by the "F2" key if your laptop doesn't have a key dedicated to enable the wireless connectivity.
- 3). Click on the "Internet" access icon, which is located on the Windows toolbar on the bottom-right corner. This icon is displayed with a small, computerlike figure. Wait for a window to pop up, then click on the tab labeled "View wireless networks."
- 4). Click on the wireless network you want to connect to and click on the "Connect" tab. If you are connecting to a protected network, you will need the password.
