My Traffic Problem...Solved!
"Look at this new way of generating a tidal wave of traffic!"
"That's nothing I have a guaranteed avalanche of potential customers by doing it my way!"
Does your head spin with these relentless claims of the next big thing? I have, for my sins, signed up to just about every traffic course and then put on their autoresponder list and bombarded every day with these desperate sales pitches. Now don't get me wrong, I opted to join their lists in an attempt to glean any morsel of knowledge I could by reading endless eBooks, articles, sales pitches and emails.
The problem is the amount of information you get as a beginner. It's incredible the sheer size of the problem you realise you are facing. How can I ever conquer this mountain when I can't even see the summit? Your brain is designed to take in and retain a whole load of information from all kinds of different subjects on a daily basis, so learning how to get a bit of traffic should be simple enough, right?
Wrong! You simply can't jump from one idea to another frantically trying them all, whilst hoping the traffic will cause a jam at your site. The key here is to focus on the fundamentals first. Break it all down into bite-size mouthfuls of information and tackle it in a methodical approach.
But it's easier said than done as to where you start. What strategies are the best and quickest to imply? Will one of them take you down a long and winding path that frustrates you when you ultimately reach a dead-end?
This used to happen to me, as a beginner to Internet Marketing, on a daily or should I say mainly nightly basis. This wasn't healthy for me to work during the day and spend most evenings trying to figure out this sixty four million dollar question. How to get traffic!
Then one day, completely out of the blue, I discovered a way to do it. No more crazy late nights and no sleep. I realised what I needed was a mentor to help me through this. A kind of hand-holding along the way, without all the wrong turns. It was time to ditch my satnat system, which always resulted in a U-turn, and listen to my new found friend.
It's extremely difficult to learn anything whilst in a bubble. The best way, like in life, is to interact with people who know what they are talking about and are willing to teach you it.
As a newcomer you need to be able to focus on one idea and not be side tracked by all the conflicting advice that is freely floating around on the web.
I know the best way to learn, for me, is the step-by-step approach. Something easily managed in bite-size pieces. I know because I have been there! The other thing I like which helps concentration is watching the advice in the form of a teaching video, broken down into smaller modules that you can digest and master before moving on to the next.
