In the world of video marketing, many beginners think once you upload your video to Youtube...that you're done. Honestly, nothing could be further from the truth. In order to gain the maximum exposure from Youtube, you will need a specific strategy to optimize your video product. Otherwise, your video will be "live," but no one will be watching it.
Here are a few suggestions that most beginners don't know about:
Try putting annotations in your video. Annotations are those little boxes that come up and ask you a question, or direct you to a website, etc.. They pop up on the screen once the video begins. Optimizing these little pop ups can be a great strategy to help attract the search engines to your video product. Log in to your YouTube account and go to the "account manager" section. You will see a list of your videos. Go to the video that you want to edit. At the top of the screen, look for the tab "annotations." You will want to click that button. Go to the "add annotation" button. This will give you a variety of choices. Pick the option that you like the best. At this point, you will have a box that you can enter your text. Make sure you enter your keyword phrase first. After you enter your keyword phrase, you can type in whatever you want the viewer to learn about. I would suggest linking them to another one of your Youtube videos. You will also have the choice of picking the time within the video you want the annotation to start and stop. Hit the "publish" button, and you're done.
Entering your keyword in the annotation box is just one additional way that you can help the search engines pick out your keyword phrase. The more you direct your video to one keyword, the more the search engines will notice your product.

Make sure the "allow video responses" box is checked. One of the best strategies to get views is putting your video in other comment boxes. I suggest that you allow people to do the same on your videos.This will potentially get you more views and can attract additional people that will help promote your site.
Increase YouTube Views With Consistent Effort and Consistent Posting...
In order for you to increase YouTube views, you need a plan of consistently uploading and providing fresh material. I would recommend keeping your videos to no more than 7 minutes in length. However, make sure you offer a video that will leave the person with a desire to see more of your productions. your goal should be to become the "expert" in your field. you want the viewer to keep coming back to your site to get valuable tips and information. One last suggestion, as I said earlier, one great idea is to comment on popular videos with a video comment. Do the same. Search YouTube. Find similar productions. When you find a popular one, go ahead and leave a comment with your video.
