- 1). Dampen a sponge with warm water and sprinkle a small amount of stainless steel cleanser onto it.
- 2). Wipe the scratched area of the stainless steel appliance with the sponge. Follow the direction of the grain, and extend beyond it to blend. Add more water and cleanser to the sponge if necessary.
- 3). Rinse the sponge with water, and wipe over the appliance to remove the cleanser. If the scratches are still there, apply more cleanser to the sponge, and repeat the cleaning process and rinsing.
- 4). Dry the appliance with a clean towel.
- 5). Apply a light layer of mineral or olive oil with a soft cloth to restore shine and improve the appearance of the stainless steel.
