Official Dart Board Hanging Rules
- The center of the bullseye should be 5 feet 8 inches from the floor.
- The throwing line should be 7 feet 9 1/4 inches away. This is measured in a perpendicular line to the center of the dart board, not from the wall on which the dart board hangs. For best results, use a plumb hanging from the center of the dart board and measure out from there.
- Soft-tip dart boards should be 8 feet away.
- The "20" section should be directly on top.
- While not an official rule, a good guideline is to hang the board in a clear area that has 5 by 11 feet of clear space. It should be away from foot traffic and potential breakables.
