    • 1). Insert the Windows Vista install disc into the CD/DVD drive of your computer. Restart the computer.

    • 2). Select your language (English), then click "Next. Click "Repair Your Computer."

    • 3). Select "Microsoft Windows Vista" in the next window, then click "Next."

    • 4). Select "System Restore" from the menu provided, then click "Next."

    • 5). Select a restore point--that is, a point in time where the computer's system information was stored--to restore your computer to.

    • 6). Select the main drive (C:) as your target for the restore operation. You can select other drives, too, if you're having problems with them. Click "Finish," then "Yes," to confirm the restore request.

    • 7). Wait. The system restore may take some time. Click "Restart" once the restore is complete or, if for some reason it has failed, select a different restore point and try again.
