- 1). Insert the floppy or USB drive into the appropriate drive or port. Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "User Accounts and Family Safety" in the Control Panel, then click "User Accounts." On the left side of the window, click the "Create a Password Reset Disk" link.
- 3). Select the drive you want to use for the backup from the drop-down box. Click "Create Disk" to create the password reset disk.
