Misty's Maine Coon lineage is apparent in her photo. She is a lovely longhair calico, and could very well have been featured in July, had her photo been submitted to the Calico Cats Show and Tell.

When Misty was a kitten, her elderly owner surrendered her and several other cats to the Blue Cross because she could no longer care for them. Jacqueline adopted her shortly after, about four years ago. Misty is described as friendly, chatty, sociable, but sometimes feisty; traits shared by Maine Coons, and the "feisty" part by calicoes.
