Also, before you smoke a cigar, depending on the brand, you may need to cut off the end of the cigar first. Pipe Smoking

• Pipe smoking offers a simplified way to smoke tobacco without the extra byproducts of cigarettes and cigars. However, pipes do need regular cleaning when smoking, and some pipes are easier to clean than others. Pipes come in a variety of styles, sizes and materials. Higher quality pipes may deliver a better taste, while lower quality pipes may give a bitter taste. When smoking from a pipe you will need to buy free-form tobacco to stuff into the pipe.
  
  

Hookah Smoking

• Hookahs are a type of water pipe used to smoke different types of flavored tobacco. Hookahs have special mouthpieces for inhaling the smoke, and each hookah may have several mouthpieces for group smoking. A hookah is slightly more complicated, because most require that you light hot coals to place over the tobacco. Although many people claim hookahs are safer than smoking cigarettes, hookah smoke actually contains more toxins than cigarettes, reports the University of Texas.
