Picking a trade skill in WoW can be a daunting task.
I have found that Blacksmithing can be a very fun and lucrative profession.
You will want to learn how to level up your skill as quickly as possible.
I have written this WoW Blacksmithing Leveling Guide to help you figure out what exactly you need to easily and quickly level up your character.
Getting Started in WoW Blacksmithing First off, I strongly recommend that you combine this job with mining, simply because you are going to need a lot of gold in order to level up WoW in this profession.
It is better to mine out your own gold and gems than to have to rely on others or have to buy it at the Auction House.
When combined with mining, you will get majority of the ore and gems you need with blacksmithing.
You can also start making your own weapons and armor, either for profit or for yourself, this is why the profession of blacksmithing can be very lucrative.
When you start out, you will want to go to one of the cities in Old Azeroth and see trainers about becoming an apprentice of WoW blacksmithing.
Here is the 1-450 WoW Blacksmithing Leveling Guide Level 1 - 75 You start off by simply making 50 Rough Stones.
Afterwards, make about 40 rough stone.
Using the materials you have purchased or farmed, make 30 copper chain belts to reach skill level 75.
Level 76 - 125 WoW Blacksmithing Guide Now, when you hit skill level 75, you musttrain to level to journeyman blacksmith.
Start off by making 12 coarse stones.
Then make 13 runed copper belts to bring you to skill level 100.
Than 5 Silver rods will bring you to 105.
And 20 rough bronze leggings will then bring you to a total of 125 in blacksmithing.
Level 126 - 200 WoW Blacksmithing Guide You have to start by creating 50 heavy grinding stones.
As you hit level 150, you must train again or you will be wasting some of the stuff you make.
Next, make 10 green iron leggings, 25 green iron bracers and 5 golden rods.
Lastly, to reach blacksmithing to 200 you have to make 10 golden scale bracers.
Level 201 - 275 WoW Blacksmithing Guide Start level 201 by making truesilver rods.
You must make about 5 of them and about 15 solid grinding stones will do.
To go from 210 until 225 you need to make about 15 heavy mithril gauntlets.
You must also make 10 steel plate helms and 15 mithril coils.
Another 20 dense sharpening stones and 15 thorium bracers will bring you to Level 275 by blacksmithing in WoW.
Level 276 - 350 WoW Blacksmithing Guide It's training time again as soon as you reach 300, make sure to train from your factions's Hellfire Peninsula trainer.
Now from 275 - 290, 20 imperial plate bracers must be made.
When you reach 300 to get to 315, you just start making fel weightsone and fel iron plate belts.
You can make fel iron plate boots, fel iron chain gloves, fel iron breastplate, lesser tune of warding, lesser rune of shielding and adamantite cleaver to get you from 315 to 350 Level 351 - 450 WoW Blacksmithing Guide You are now into the new expansion pack once you get here.
Another training session with the new Northrend trainer must be had when you reach 375.
Begin making cobalt bracers and cobalt belts and also make a few cobalt helms.
By now you should be close to 375.
To get to 420, make some Reinforced cobalt chestpieces, and then to get to 450 just make daunting handguards and savage saronite hauberk.
While you're increasing your skills, it's also a good idea to start making other items that you can sell.
Hang out in the auction house and watch which items are in demand.
Get the necessary materials and the recipes and you'll be able to start selling these items on your own.
This is a great way to make extra money to purchase the components you need for your skill levels to increase.
