Right from the age of six, when he joined the China Drama Academy as an apprentice, Jackie Chan has donned many hats and worked his way up as a lovable personality in dance, traditional martial arts and music. He is an actor, a filmmaker, comedian, screen writer, entrepreneur, pop singer and most importantly, a great stunt performer and action choreographer, who has suffered multiple injuries, yet takes on daring roles, with superb aplomb and cheer.

Jackie Chan has a lot of credits to his name. His 100th film, will be released in September 2011. He is the co-director and also stars in the movie, 1911. He has appeared in the Guinness Book of Records for "Most Stunts by a Living Actor." He has won several awards and has even received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Taurus World Stunt Awards.
Jackie Chan was born on 7th April 1951 and began his acting career as a young boy. He excelled in martial arts and acrobatics and by the age of seventeen, he was performing stunts in Bruce Lee's films, Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon. His acting prowess was acknowledged in 1978, when he acted in Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master, where he shot to success, as a daring stuntman. He was propelled to mainstream limelight in the United States in 1980, when he acted in the movie Battle Creek Brawl. He produced Police Story in 4 sequels and this won him box office success.

Rush Hour with Chris Tucker brought Jackie Chan even more publicity as the movie turned out to be a blockbuster success. He went on to become increasingly popular in his subsequent films, Shanghai Noon, Tuxedo and Medallion.

Jackie Chan went on to owning his own film production company which he named JCE Movies Ltd., in association with EMG. He also released 20 albums, where he sang many theme songs that were introduced in his movies during the listing of credits at the end of the movie. Jackie Chan was invited to India for the audio launch of the movie, Dasavathaaram, where he floored the audience, with his charm and humor. He also created a play station game, Jackie Chan Stuntmaster and lent his voice to the game.

Undoubtedly, this star has tasted success in many fields and it is no wonder that he still retains his nickname, PaoPao, which means "Cannonball!" Jackie Chan also performed on April 1, 2011 in a charity concert for the earthquake and tsunami victims of the 2011 Tohoku disaster that hit Japan. He is a humanitarian, apart from a great performer, who has entertained the world with his spectacular achievements.
