How to Clear Web Browser Entries

    Mozilla Firefox

    • 1). Open the Mozilla Firefox web browser.

    • 2). Click on "Clear Recent History" from the "Tools" menu. The "Clear Recent History" dialog will appear.

    • 3). Select "Everything" from the "Time range to clear" drop-down bar. All selected items will be cleared. To modify the selected items, click the "Details" arrow and check the desired items you want to clear. Items include: the browsing and download history, form and search history, cookies, cache, active logins and site preference. After checking the desired items, click "Clear Now." Firefox will automatically close and reopen after clearing your browser's history. Close the Mozilla Firefox web browser, if desired.

    Internet Explorer

    • 1). Open the Internet Explorer web browser.

    • 2). Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu. The "Internet Options" dialog will open.

    • 3). Select the "General" tab and click the "Delete" button under the "Browsing history" section. The "Delete Browsing History" dialog will open.

    • 4). Check the desired items you want to delete. You can delete: temporary Internet files, cookies, history, form data, passwords and InPrivate Filtering data. After checking the desired items, click "Delete." The "Delete browsing history" window shows the progress while it is clearing your web browser's history.

    • 5). Click "OK" after clearing your browser's history. Close Internet Explorer if desired.
