Yet a further case was a man claimed his head injuries were caused by him falling over when they were the result of a fight involving a baseball bat.

The ABI has set up a free phone service called "Cheatline".
This allows informants to call them and report any crimes that they believe have been committed.
In one recent case a man had filed a claim for his boat that allegedly had sunk out at sea.
In fact his boat was up for sale on an online site and safely stored, totally undamaged near his home.
This information was provided by an informant.
