Why do you smoke - Ask yourself why you are smoking, and what is the reason you are doing it are.
Is it to please someone or is it your social way of mingling with other peers? Try to determine what is the factor that makes you want to smoke and then you will know how to fix the problem from there.

Never force yourself - Do not ever force yourself to stop smoking suddenly if you have been smoking for a very long time now.

So at least try to minimize the amount of sticks you can light in a day.

Try using an imaginary smoke to convince yourself that you are really smoking.
If keep on doing this for about a year your body and mind will finally forget about the high of smoke.

Medication - If all else fails, consulting with a doctor and asking for medication may help.
