Kalvøya is an island right next to the town of Sandvika, 20 minutes south-west of Oslo.

There are several sandy beaches on the island. There is Kalvøya nude beach, which is an official nude beach in Norway (actually, one of the most popular nude beaches in the Oslo area). You'll find Kalvøya nude beach on the far east side of the island.

Visitors preferring clothing-required beaches can visit any one of the other beaches on Kalvøya island instead.

They are all suitable for families, and are sandy beaches with public facilities.

When you visit Kalvøya island, take the E18 from Oslo to Sandvika, go to Kadettangen and park right by the pedestrian bridge leading to the island. From here, it's a 10-20 minute walk to the beaches.
