El Salvador, a country of six million people in Central America, borders the Pacific Ocean between Guatemala and Honduras. The only airport serving international flights is Comalapa International Airport, in the capital and largest city, San Salvador. Besides its natural beauty, the country's main tourist attractions are its beaches, nightlife and surfing, and the scars of its 12-year civil war attract tourists, too. - Agrotours is a family-owned, licensed and insured tour operator specializing in group agricultural tours. The company specializes in custom agricultural tours, and its services include arranging for international and domestic air ticketing, charter coach, rail and ferry transportation, hotel accommodations, food and meeting services, tour escorts and interpreters, sightseeing and all technical visits to meet the educational and cultural requirements of the group. In June 2011, CGE will offer "The Story Behind Immigration," which will be focused on the fact that of all the Central American countries, El Salvador has the highest population living abroad, the majority living undocumented in the United States. According to the Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are more than 2 million Salvadorans in the U.S. alone. Participants on this travel seminar will learn about the socio-political and economic reasons for migration, the effect on Salvadoran families left behind and result on the culture.
