    • The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a line of luxury automobiles. Manufactured as sedans, coupes and wagons, the E-class features several performance and body style configurations. The 2006 model year includes sedans and wagons as the feature vehicles. Although they feature many similar specifications, the options include slight variances in car performance, fuel economy and handling.

    E350 Sedan

    • The standard Mercedes E350 sedan features a 3.5-liter, V-6 engine with 24 valves. The E350 is also equipped with a seven-speed automatic drive-adaptive transmission with Touch Shift optimum gear programming and comfort mode. The sedan's 21.1-gallon fuel tank provides a fuel economy of 19 miles per gallon in the city, and 27 miles per gallons on the highway. Safety features include an anti-lock brake system with brake assist, and airbags in the drivers' side, passenger side and along the rear side. The E350 also uses independent four-link front suspension with anti-dive geometry, and independent five-arm multilink real suspension with alignment control and anti-squat geometry.

    E350 Wagon

    • The E350 wagon is equipped with the same 3.5-liter, V-6 engine. The wagon, however, uses a five-speed automatic drive-adaptive transmission. The E350 wagon is additionally equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive and four-wheel electronic tracking system. Although the wagon contains the same 21.1-gallon fuel tank, the fuel economy is slightly smaller that the E350 sedan. The wagon can get up to 18 miles per gallon in the city, and 24 miles per gallon on the highway. The wagon uses the same anti-lock brake system and airbag deployment as the sedan, providing the same level of safety.

    E350 Sedan 4MATIC

    • The E350 4MATIC sedan is equipped with the 3.5-liter, 24-valve, V-6 engine. Identical to the 4MATIC wagon, the sedan is equipped with a five-speed automatic drive-adaptive transmission -- including Touch Shift optimum gear programming and comfort mode. 4MATIC all-wheel drive technology is also implemented in the sedan, as well as four-wheel electronic tracking system. The E350 4MATIC sedan uses the same suspension as the E350 4MATIC wagon. The E350 4MATIC is equipped with an independent double-wishbone front suspension with anti-dive geometry, and uses independent five-arm multilink rear suspension with anti-squat geometry, alignment control and a stabilizer bar.
