The Quechua Company has been about for some time now and originally started in a small village in France. They are best known for supplying mountaineering equipment and are, in fact, one of the world's top 10 companies in this field. In recent years they have become more of a think tank with over half their 100 employees now spending their time in research and development and they are constantly coming up with new and innovative ideas.
One on their recent success stories have been the latest range of Quechua 2 second tents that are now becoming a leading seller. The idea behind this product is that traditionally pitching small to medium sized tents can be extremely awkward. There are lots of poles which need to be assembled in the correct order, and then fed through small inserts in the tent. Personally these tradition tents are a nightmare for me and I always find myself getting frustrated when it takes so long to work out how to get a tent up. Not so this new range from Quechua. A consummate amateur is able to pitch one of these tents in less than a minute. They are also very easily taken down which can also be done in around a minute.
This speedy means of pitching and taking down your tent makes camping a whole new experience. Gone is the frustration and time consuming art of getting your tent up. A minute or two after you start you will have your tent up and be starting to relax. Another major plus for these tents is the price and range. There is a tent for everybody ranging from a one man tent right up to a large family tent which will easily accommodate 5 people. The range starts at around $20 so there is no reason to put you off buying one of these tents.
