The state of Georgia has many trailer campground parks and easy hiking trails that stretch from the corner of Alabama and North Carolina to the Atlantic Ocean. These trailer campgrounds are a mix of privately owned operations and state run facilities. Because of Georgia's mild climate, many of these facilities are open year round. - Located just outside of Helen, Georgia, Creekwood Resort provides both cabin camping and trailer camping options. They offer 17 trailer hook-ups on level concrete slabs which are 30 feet by 10 feet. Your trailer can be hooked up to cable, water and waste pumping. Just down the road, a couple of miles from the Creekwood Resort, is Unicoi State Park. The park offers several hiking trails which are rated "easy." These trails include the Frog and Nature Pond Trail and the Lake Trail.

gastateparks.org - Located near the North Carolina border in Mountain City, Georgia, Black Rock Mountain State Park has 44 sites for trailer camping which can accommodate trailers up to 25 feet in length. These camp sites can be reserved online. You will receive water and electric hook-ups as well as a grill and a picnic table. There is also a washing and drying facility for campers to share. When it comes to trails, Black Rock Mountain State Park has 11 miles of trails, with the Black Rock Mountain Lake Loop trail being rated as easy.

706-746-2141 - Located in Chatsworth, Georgia, Fort Mountain State Park offers 70 sites for trailers up to 50 feet in length. Each site also has the ability to have two parked cars, as well as full hook-ups for water and electrical needs. The bathroom also has washer and dryer capabilities. The park offers 14 miles of hiking trails, with the Lake Trail being rated as easy. For those who are interested in horseback riding, there are horse trails as well.
